สำหรับโรงแรม DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit เป็นการ Rebrand มาจาก The Majestic Grand Hotel ในปี 2019 โดยทาง DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit ได้มีการ Renovate ใหม่ทั้งหมด ทั้งรายละเอียดในของส่วนกลางอย่าง Lobby / ห้องอาหาร / สระว่ายน้ำ รวมไปถึงห้องพักทั้งหมด

DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit is rebranded from The Majestic Grand Hotel in 2019. This hotel is newly renovated and expected to complete within 2022. Lobby and all hotel facilities are completely renovated and open to welcome guests. Only some high-end room type (Executive Suites and President Suites) are in-progress. You don't have to worry about noise from renovation. I can say that there is no noise or smell into my room or within hotel during my 3 stays.

Location

DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit จะอยู่ระหว่าง BTS เพลินจิต และ BTS นานา โดยตัวโรงแรมจะอยู่ในซอยสุขุมวิท 2 มีระยะเดินประมาณ 200 เมตร

การเดินทางด้วย BTS - แนะนำให้ลงสถานีเพลินจิต จากนั้นสามารถเดินเข้าโรงแรมได้เลย ระยะเดิน 450m

การเดินทางด้วยรถยนต์ - สามารถเดินทางมาจากฝั่ง ถ.เพชรบุรี ผ่านถนนสุขุมวิทซอย 3 และเข้าโรงแรมได้เลย หรือ อีกทางเลือกคือมาทางเส้นสุขุมวิทฝั่งอโศก

ข้อดี - บริเวณใกล้เคียงมีตึกอาคารสำนักงานอยู่ ทำให้มีร้านสะดวกซื้อ Lawson 108 / Villa Market / ร้านอาหาร (Beirut / Rengaya / Lee Cafe / Starbucks) ซึ่งถือว่าค่อนข้างสะดวกสบาย

ข้อเสีย - เนื่องจากอยู่ในซอย ระยะเดินประมาณ 200m ทำเลจึงสู้โรงแรมที่อยู่ริมถนนใหญ่อย่าง Novotel Ploenchit หรือ JW Marriott Bangkok ไม่ได้ และเนื่องจากซอยนี้ยังมีการก่อสร้างค่อนข้างมาก การเดินเข้าซอยช่วงค่ำจะรู้สึกไม่ปลอดภัยสักเท่าไหร่

DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit is located in Sukhumvit Soi 4. You can access by:

BTS - The nearest station is "Ploenchit Station". Distance from station to hotel is approximately 450m. If you are backpacker, it is okay for walking. But in case you have large luggage, I would suggest to avoid this option.

Public Car - From Sukhumvit road, you have to turn left into Sukhumvit Soi 4. It is a 2-lanes road, drive carefully. 200m from the main road, hotel is on your left hand. There is a free hotel-parking area.

Location is not the best as it has to walk 200m from main street. But good thing is there is no noise from main street. Nearly has conveniet stores (Lawson108 and Villa Market) and you can easily get to many good restaurants within the walk distance.

Car Parking

DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit สามารถจอดรถได้ตั้งแต่ชั้น 2-4 โดยจะมีลิฟท์โดยสารเชื่อมต่อกับ Lobby และ ห้องพักได้โดยตรง

จำนวนที่จอดรถถือว่ามีไม่มากเมื่อเทียบกับห้องพัก แต่เนื่องจากแขกส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นชาวต่างชาติ จึงไม่มีปัญหาเรื่องที่จอดรถไม่เพียงพอ

จุดที่ชอบมากคือ ลิฟท์ขึ้นลงลานจอดรถ ห้องพัก และ Lobby เป็นตัวเดียวกัน ทำให้สามารถลากกระเป๋าจากที่จอดรถเข้าห้องพักได้โดยตรง ถือว่าสะดวกสบายมากๆ

Hotel Parking is free of charge. There is no car parking card and no need to get e-stamp or any signature to get your car in and out. Hotel's car parking area is on 2nd - 4th floor. As of August 2022, There is no EV charger here.

As car parking is in the same building of lobby and guest room, you can directly get the elevator to lobby or your room. It is better than other hotel that I have to get my lugguage to lobby, change to guest elevator and get up to my room.

Check-in

Lobby จะอยู่บริเวณชั้น 1 ซึ่งภายในบริเวณ Lobby มีการ renovate ใหม่ทั้งหมด เพดานสูง ตกแต่งดูดี ผนังรอบด้านเป็นกระจกค่อนข้างเยอะ แสงเข้าได้ดี ทำให้รู้ปลอดโปร่ง

บริเวณจุด Check-in มีพนักงานให้บริการอยู่ 3-4 จุด รองรับกลุ่มใหญ่ๆได้ค่อนข้างดี ตอนที่เข้าพัก มีแขกเข้า Check-in เรื่อยๆ ซึ่งต้องรอ 1 คิว ใช้ระยะเวลาในการ Check-in ไม่นานก็เรียบร้อย

Signature ของทาง DoubleTree ก็คือ Warm Cookies (มาแบบอุ่นจริงๆนะ) โดยทางพนักงานจะแจกให้แขกคนละ 1 ชิ้น (แนะนำกินให้หมดก่อน แล้วค่อยพลิกดูโภชนาการด้านหลัง ไม่งั้นจะรู้สึกผิดมาก)

เนื่องจาก ChaiMiles เป็นสมาชิก Diamond Elite ของ Hilton Honors ทางพนักงานได้ Recognize สถานะเป็นอย่างดี และได้แจ้งถึงสิทธิประโยชน์ครบถ้วน 

Warm welcome chocolate chips cookie is the signature of DoubleTree hotel. You will get delicious cookies even your are not elite member of Hilton Honors.

Check-in area is on ground floor (This hotel your "L floor" in the elevator). I like that lobby has a high ceiling and use floor-to-ceiling windows to let a natural sun light pass through. There are 4 counters at reception. Only 5 minutes, check-in was completed. My Diamond Elite is recognized and benefits are clearly explain. Good Job!.

I got an upgrade from King Guest Room which is the beginning room type to King Premium Room. It is a 2-steps upgrade.

เนื่องจาก DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit ไม่มี lounge สมาชิก Hilton Honors Diamond Elite จะได้ Drink Voucher วันละ 2 ใบ สำหรับแลกเครื่องดื่มที่ Open Bar หน้าลิฟท์ โดย Drink Voucher สามารถนำมาใช้เมื่อไหร่ก็ได้ในช่วงเวลาที่เข้าพัก ไม่จำเป็นที่จะต้องมาใช้ทุกวัน

DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit has no executive lounge. Hilton Honors Diamond Elite will get 2 drink vouchers per day. This voucher can redeem for both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage at "Open Bar". In case you stay multiple nights here, you can use multiple drink vouchers within the same time. There is no need to use it daily.

ในส่วนของห้องพัก ChaiMiles ได้ upgrade จากห้องเริ่มต้น King Guest Room เป็น King Premium Room สิ่งที่มีเพิ่มเติมขึ้นมาคือ จะเป็นห้องที่อยู่ชั้นสูง มีพื้นที่กว้างขึ้น และมีอ่างอาบน้ำในห้อง

I was upgraded to King Premium Room for all of my 3 stays. This room type is larger than King Guest Room, located on high floor and has bathtub.

รายละเอียดภายในห้องพัก King Premium Room

King Premium Room

ในส่วนของห้อง King Premium Room จะมีพื้นที่ตั้งแต่ 35-40 ตารางเมตร ขึ้นกับชั้นและตำแหน่งของห้องพัก โดย ChaiMiles ได้ลองเข้าพัก 2 ห้อง ในช่วง 2 stay ที่ผ่านมาคือ 2201 และ 1702 

ห้อง 2201 จะมีขนาดใหญ่กว่า แต่ Layout ค่อนข้างแปลกไปสักหน่อย และไม่เหมือนกับ King Premium Room อื่นๆ ในรีวิวนี้จึงลงรูปของ 1702 ที่เป็นห้อง King Premium Room แบบมาตรฐานแทน

King Premium Room'size is 35-40 square meters, depend on each room. Layout of each rooms are different, you have to choose wisely.

I have stayed in 2201, 1702 and 1715. All rooms have different layout and space. My favourite is 1715.
2201 - room is huge but layout is weird. View from window is blocked. Avoid this room.
1702 - good layout. Ceiling to floor window. View from window is an under construction building.
1715 - good layout. Ceiling to floor window. Smaller bath area but largest bed room area. View from window is open.

แผนผังห้องต่างๆในชั้น 17 สำหรับห้อง King Premium Room จะมีห้อง 1701 - 1704 และ 1715 

Layout of 17th floor. King Premium Room is 1701 to 1704 and 1715. My favourite is 1715 and 1702, pre-choose this room while you do a mobile check-in.
Ths room is "1702".

เปิดประตูเข้ามา ส่วนแรกจะเป็นตู้เสื้อผ้า ตู้เย็นขนาดเล็กที่ไม่ค่อยเย็น น้ำดื่ม 2 ขวด

This is the first area after open the door. Small fridge and complimentary drinks.

กาแฟน้ำ แก้วกาแฟ ชาใช้ของ Dilmah กาแฟ Nescafe. แบบทั่วไป ไม่ได้มีอะไรโดดเด่น

I'm not a fan of Dilmah and Nescafe. Glasses and mugs are pre-set here.

ถัดมาในส่วนของห้องน้ำจะมีแยกส่วนเปียกและส่วนแห้งออกจากกัน แถมมีอ่างอาบน้ำขนาดใหญ่ให้แช่ด้วย ภายในห้องน้ำตกแต่งออกมาได้ลงตัว มีแสงจากหน้าต่างเข้ามาได้ โดยรวมแล้วค่อนข้างชอบ

Here is bathroom. Good layout for this room. I liked window that let the natural light in. Water temperature is stable here, good!.

บริเวณอ่างล้างหน้า กระจกทรงกลม เปิดไฟห้องน้ำซะหน่อย ถ่ายรูปสวยขึ้นเยอะเลย พวกอุปกรณ์ต่างๆอย่างแปรงสีฟัน ยาสีฟัน ที่โกนหนวดจะไม่ได้เตรียมเอาไว้ให้ ใครที่ต้องการใช้ ให้กด 0 เพื่อติดต่อพนักงาน

Good light decoration here. Dental kit and shave kit are not set here. You have to reuqest from staffs (no additional charge).

สบู่ แชมพู ครีมนวดและโลชั่นทาตัวจะใช้ของ Crabtree & Evelyn เป็นขวดขนาดเล็กสุดๆ 24 ml มีมาให้อย่างละ 2 ชุด

อุณภูมิน้ำถือว่าคงที่ดี เปิดน้ำร้อนก็ร้อนคงที่ ไม่มีเดี๋ยวร้อนเดี๋ยวเย็น ส่วนความสะอาดของน้ำถือว่าดีขึ้นจากช่วงที่เปิดใหม่แรกๆมาก ตอนนี้น้ำแช่ในอ่างเปิดมาก็ใสกิ๊งเรียบร้อย

Bath amenities are Crabtree & Evelyn in small portion, 2 set per day. Room temperature here is very stable. Water quality is clear, no dirt or rustic.

มุมมองจากบริเวณห้องด้านใน ย้อนกลับไปทางตู้เสื้อผ้าและห้องน้ำ บริเวณนี้มีโซฟาขนาดพอดี layout วางอยู่ นั่งได้ 2 คน แต่ดูทีวีไม่ได้ จัดวางตำแหน่งแปลกพอสมควร

Another dimension looking from window. There is small sofa for 2 adults here. Weird thing is sofa is not for watching TV haha.

ข้อดีของห้อง King Premium Room ฝั่งนี้คือกระจกบานใหญ่สูงเต็มเพดาน ได้วิวก่อสร้างเต็มๆ

โต๊ะทำงานเป็นทรงกลม มีโคมไฟให้ ซึ่งไม่ได้ใช้เลย ใกล้ๆกันมีปลั๊กไฟเสียบได้ 2 ช่อง

I like floor-to-ceiling window. Bad thing is view from window is an under construction building.
Working table is in the circle shape. Nearly has 2 plugs for charging.

แผง control และปลั๊กไฟข้างๆโต๊ะทำงาน รองรับทั้งปลั๊กไฟ USB และ HDMI ที่ตลกร้ายคือ ลองเสียบ HDMI ปรากฎว่าใช้ไม่ได้ ก็เลยไปดูหลังทีวี อ้อออ... ตรงช่องฝั่ง output ของ HDMI ไม่มีสายต่อเข้า TV ก็ตลกดี เพราะเป็นแบบนี้ทั้ง 2201 และ 1702 เลยทีเดียว

It is good thing to have electric control like this. You can charge by using USB or connect HDMI here. Weird thing is HDMI is not working as that is no HDMI connection from output to TV. If you need to use HDMI, you have to connect directly from your laptop to TV.

มาดูตรงส่วนของเตียงนอนกันบ้าง เป็นตียงขนาดใหญ่ 6 ฟุต ความแน่นกำลังดี หลับสบาย หมอนมีเตรียมไว้ให้ 4 ใบ โดยเป็นแบบ Soft 2 ใบ และแบบ Firm อีก 2 ใบ

6 inches for King Bed. Bed is good quality. 2 soft pillow and 2 firm pillows are set here.

ข้างหัวเตียงมีโคมไฟ ปลั๊กไฟครบ แถมมี switch ไฟปิดได้ทั้งหมดจากข้างเตียงเลย

I like that there is switch to control room's light at 2 bedside.

หัวเตียงอีกฝังก็เป็นลักษณะเดียวกัน มีครบทั้งปลั๊กไฟ โคมไฟ และ switch ไฟปิดได้ทั้งห้อง แถมยังมีลำโพง Bluetooth ให้ใช้อีกด้วย ตรงนี้ค่อนข้างประทับใจ เพราะชอบที่มีปลั๊กให้ใช้ทั้ง 2 ฝั่ง ไม่ต้องแย่งกัน

ตัวทีวีจอแบน จริงๆแล้วก็ขนาดก็ไม่ได้เล็กนะ แต่ด้วยระยะห่างจากหัวเตียงมองไปค่อนข้างไกล ถ้าขนาดใหญ่กว่านี้อีกสักหน่อยจะ perfect มาก บริเวณใต้ทีวีมีทำเป็นชั้นวางของ ออกแบบการใช้พื้นที่ได้ดี

Good size for TV.

การเข้าพักรอบ 2 หลังจากเข้าห้องได้ไม่นานก็มีพนักงานนำ Welcome Card พร้อมกับน้องคุกกี้ปุกปุยมาให้ น่ารักมากเลย

I got this cute cookie from turndown on the first day.

ภาพรวมห้องพักแบบ King Premium Room ของห้อง 1702 ถือว่าออกแบบมาไปลงตัว อยู่แล้วสบายไม่อึดอัดเลย switch ไฟต่างๆจัดมาให้ครบ สะดวก แอร์ห้องเย็นฉ่ำ สมกับที่เพิ่ง renovate ใหม่มากๆ

Overall, King Premium Room 1702 is comfortable for me.

ข้อเสียภายในห้อง จะมีปัญหาเรื่องของ HDMI ซึ่งก็สามารถเปลี่ยนไปเสียบตรงกับทีวีได้

Hotel Facilities

โรงแรม DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit มีส่วนกลางให้บริการครบตามแบบฉบับของโรงแรม Upscale ไม่ว่าจะเป็นสระว่ายน้ำ ห้องอาหาร Fitness และบริการ in-room dining ไปดูรายละเอียดในแต่ละส่วนกัน

There are swimming pool, fitness center, restaurant and bar.

Swimming Pool

ในส่วนของสระว่ายน้ำ จะอยู่ที่ชั้น 7 โดยจะต้องใช้คีย์การ์ดในการเข้าออกบริเวณนี้

Swimming pool is on 7th floor. Open open daily and you need to use your key card to access this area.

สระว่ายน้ำขนาดไม่ใหญ่ เหมาะสำหรับว่ายน้ำเล่นๆ หรือลงไปแช่น้ำเสียมากกว่า บริเวณโดยรอบมีเก้าอี้ให้นั่งค่อนข้างเยอะเลย

Pool'size is good for 2-3 people. There are many sunloungers around the swimming pool. What I don't like here is smoking area is in this area. It should be smoking free area.

Fitness Center

ในส่วนของ Fitness จะเปิดให้บริการ 24 ชั่วโมง โดยจะต้องใช้ Key Card ในการเข้าห้อง Fitness อุปกรณ์ต่างๆภายในถือว่ามีมาให้พอสมควร ความหลากหลายสู้โรงแรม 5 ดาวใหญ่ๆไม่ได้ แต่ก็มีให้ออกกำลังกายได้ครบทุกสัดส่วน

Fitness is on 7th floor, same as swimming pool. Open 24/7. There is no staff here. You can use your key card to access whenever you want. Hotel also has business center on this floor. There is 1 meeting room and 2-3 computers stand by.

Restaurant and Bar

ในส่วนของห้องอาหาร จะมีเพียงห้องอาหารเดียวคือ Open Restaurant ซึ่งเป็น All Day Dining Restaurant เปิดให้บริการตั้งแต่อาหารเช้า กลางวัน ไปจนถึงมื้อเย็นเลยทีเดียว

Open Restaurant is the only 1 restaurant in DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit. Hotel use this restaurant as a breakfast area, open for lunch and dinner.

บริเวณใกล้ๆกันจะเป็น Open Bar ซึ่งเป็นบาร์เปิด มีที่นั่งอยู่ประมาณ 8 ที่นั่ง สมาชิก Hilton Honors Diamond Elite สามารถนำ Drink Voucher ที่ได้รับตอน Check-in มาใช้บริการได้ที่นี่ ไวน์แดงถือว่ากินง่ายเลยทีเดียว

Next to the Open Restaurant is Open Bar where you can enjoy your drink in the evening. Hilton Honors Diamond Elite also can use drink voucher here. I'm a fan of red wine here.

In-room Dining

สำหรับแขกโรงแรมที่ไม่ต้องการลงมาทานอาหารที่ Open Restaurant ก็สามารถสั่งให้อาหารจากเมนู In-Room Dining ได้ ซึ่งราคาก็เริ่มต้นที่ประมาณ 200++ ตามมาตรฐานโรงแรมเครือใหญ่ สามารถดูรายละเอียดเมนูได้ตามด้านล่าง

Breakfast

สำหรับสมาชิก Hilton Honors Diamond Elite จะได้รับฟรีอาหารเช้าที่ห้องอาหารหลัก Open Restaurant ที่บริเวณชั้น 1 โดยจะได้รับอาหารฟรี 2 คน / ห้อง (สำหรับ Hilton Honors Gold Elite ก็สามารถเลือก Welcome Amenity เป็นอาหารเช้าได้นะครับ) ส่วนใครที่ไม่ได้เป็นสมาชิก Hilton Honors Gold หรือ Diamond ทางโรงแรมมีขาย Breakfast คนละ 350++ สามารถแจ้งได้ที่พนักงานหน้าห้องอาหาร

Hilton Honors Diamond Elite get complimentary full breakfast at Open Restaurant. For Gold Elite, you can choose breakfast as welcome amenity. For other who doesn't have elite status, you can book room with breakfast or pay 350 THB++ per person.

น้ำเต้าหู้ทรงเครื่อง ทานพร้อมกับปาท่องโก๋ และติ่มซำ (คุณภาพติ่มซำ คิดว่าไม่ผ่านนะ) หรือจะเลือกเป็นข้าวต้มร้อนๆก็น่าสนใจ Counter บริเวณนี้ยังสามารถสั่งก๋วยเตี๋ยวเพิ่มเติมได้กับทางพนักงานด้วยนะครับ

Dimsum, congee, patongo, soy milk and noodle station.

Live Station สำหรับเมนูไข่แบบต่างๆ รวมถึง Pancake และ Waffle เป็นอีกโซนที่ห้ามพลาดเลย

นอกจากนี้ก็ยังมีโซน Salad / Cold Cut / Bakery ที่มีเครื่องอุ่นร้อนให้บริการ คุณภาพถือว่าสมมาตรฐานโรงแรมระดับนี้ ใครที่อุ่นขนมปัง แนะนำให้ป้องกันขนมปังบินดีๆ ChaiMiles บินไปแล้ว 1 แผ่น landing ลงพื้นสวยงามมาก

ใกล้ๆกันเป็นโซน Cereal / Yoghurt ผลไม้ และนมแบบต่างๆ

Variety of milk, fruits, cereal and yoghurt.

นอกเหนือจากนี้ก็ยังมีอาหารร้อนปรุงสำเร็จอย่างเมนูผัดต่างๆ เบค่อนแบบกรอบ ไส้กรอก มันฝรั่ง รวมๆแล้วประมาณ 10 เมนู โดยเมนูในโซนนี้จะเปลี่ยนแปลงเล็กน้อยในแต่ละวัน 

8-10 menu of hot dish. Menu doesn't change to much.

ChaiMiles จะเสร็จเมนูข้าวต้มกับสลัดแทบทุกวันเลย ชอบที่รสชาติไม่จัด มีขิงมีผักโรยให้ใส่ได้ตามใจ

I love congee here as flavor is not too strong and able to add sliced ginger as much as I want.

Summary

ภาพรวมการเข้าพักที่ DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit โดยรวมค่อนข้างประทับใจ ถือว่าเป็นอีก 1 ตัวเลือกที่คุ้มค่ามากๆ สมาชิก Hilton Honors Diamond Elite ได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์ครบถ้วนโดยไม่ต้องถามแต่อย่างใด พนักงานให้บริการดีเยี่ยมทุกส่วน ไม่ว่าจะเป็น Check-in / Open Bar / Open Restaurant รวมถึงห้องพักที่ Renovate ใหม่วาง layout ได้ดีพอสมควร

ข้อเสียระหว่างเข้าพักมีบ้างเล็กน้อย อย่างเรื่องของระบบ HDMI

เนื่องจากเป็นโรงแรมที่เพิ่งกลับมาเปิดใหม่เมื่อต้นเดือนสิงหาคม แล้ว ChaiMiles ก็มีเข้าพักเรื่อยๆ ทำให้เห็นพัฒนาที่ดีขึ้นตามลำดับ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเรื่องงานบริการ คุณภาพน้ำในห้องอาบน้ำ ที่ Stay ล่าสุดน้ำก็ใสกิ๊งแล้ว

DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit is located in the good location. It is suitable for tourist who love to enjoy nightlife in Sukhumvit Soi 4 and also great location for travel in Sukhumvit area.
Hilton Honors Diamond Elite is renognized and well take care by staffs. Renovated room and facilities in hotel are impressive. It could be better if there are more choice of restaurants. But the price here is very competitive, I couldn't ask more from what I paid..

Overall is an impressive hotel. I would recommended here, newly renovated room, good service and reasonable price.
