Marriott Bonvoy has launched a new offer for stay through 15 December 2022. Marriott Bonvony's member will get 2,000 bonus point per stay starting from 2nd stay onwards.

Newly launched promotion is a bit disappointed for me. September to December is the high season for travel and most of booking are stay at least 2-3 days per booking. Bonus 2,000 points per stay is calculated to return as ~14% for stay 1 night and ~6.75% for stay 2 nights.

Comparing to latest promotion from Hilton Honors that giving x2 bonus points plus 2,000 bonus points per stay. It is more attractive than Marriott Bonvoy.

โปรโมชั่นรอบนี้เปิดออกมาได้ค่อนข้างน่าผิดหวัง โบนัส 2,000 คะแนนของ Marriott  Bonvoy มีมูลค่าเทียบเท่าประมาณ 540 บาท เมื่อเทียบกับราคาห้องพักเฉลี่ยที่ประมาณ 4,000 บาท คิดเป็นผลตอบแทนเพิ่มเติมประมาณ ~14% แต่ในกรณีที่เข้าพัก 2 คืน ผลตอบแทนจะอยู่ที่ ~6.75% เท่านั้น

และเนื่องจากเป็นช่วง High Season ของการท่องเที่ยว การเข้าพักส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นแบบเข้าพักหลายวัน และราคาที่พักจะสูงกว่าปรกติ ซึ่งเมื่อเทียบกันแล้ว โปรโมชั่นที่ให้เป็น per stay จะสู้โปรโมชั่นที่ให้คะแนน x2 หรือ x3 ไม่ได้

เมื่อเทียบกับโปรโมชั่น คะแนนโบนัส x2 + โบนัส 2,000 คะแนน ของ Hilton Honors แล้ว ยิ่งทำให้เห็นถึงความแตกต่างมากขึ้นไปอีก

*A “stay” is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity on any points-eligible rate (“Qualifying Rate”).

Registration of your Marriott Bonvoy® account is required. Marriott Bonvoy members who register for this promotion by December 1, 2022, will earn 2,000 bonus points per eligible paid stay*, starting with the second stay during the promotion earning period. The promotion earning period is for eligible paid stays completed between September 21, 2022, and December 15, 2022, at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties. Only stays completed after registration will qualify toward the promotion. A “stay” is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity on any points-eligible rate (“Qualifying Rate”). Award redemption stays where points are redeemed for each night of the entire stay are not eligible for the promotion. Rates available through most third-party online retailers and select travel agency rates do not qualify for this promotion (“Non-Qualifying Rate”). Stays at Homes & Villas by Marriott International, Marriott Executive Apartments®, and owner-occupied weeks at Marriott Vacation Club®, Marriott Grand Residence Club®, Sheraton Vacation Club®, Westin Vacation Club®, The Ritz-Carlton Club®, St. Regis Residence Club® and Luxury Collection Residence Club, are not eligible for bonus points for this promotion. Only one room per property is counted toward a member’s stay for the promotion. Bonuses of 2,000 points per eligible paid stay, starting with the second stay, will be awarded to the member’s account within 7 business days after checkout and will post with the stay.
