Marriott Bonvoy™ and KrisFlyer Preferred Partnership Program Terms and Conditions

Part A – The Preferred Partnership Program

Introduction
  1. These terms and conditions (the “Preferred Partnership Rules”) form the basis of the Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer preferred partnership program (“Preferred Partnership Program”) offered by Marriott International, Inc. (“Marriott International”), as the operator of the Marriott Bonvoy™ loyalty program (“Marriott Bonvoy”), and Singapore Airlines Limited (“SIA”), as the operator of KrisFlyer, a rewards program (“KrisFlyer Program” or “KrisFlyer”). A person who is a member of both Marriott Bonvoy and the KrisFlyer Program is referred to as a “Joint Member” in these Preferred Partnership Rules.
  2. By submitting a registration request for, participating in, or availing the benefits of the Preferred Partnership Program, participants agree to be bound by these Preferred Partnership Rules.
  3. Marriott International and SIA have the right to terminate the Preferred Partnership Program or to change, limit, modify or cancel the Preferred Partnership Rules, regulations, policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards, and special offers, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice. Continuing to be enrolled in the Preferred Partnership Program and participating in any of the offers provided herein after any such changes or modifications are made to these Preferred Partnership Rules will indicate agreement to the changes and modifications.
Definitions
  1. The following terms used in these Preferred Partnership Rules have the meanings specified below:
    • “KrisFlyer Account” means the membership account of an individual KrisFlyer Member, which is maintained by SIA, and which tracks the accrual and redemption of KrisFlyer Miles in accordance with the rules of the KrisFlyer Program.
    • “KrisFlyer Elite Gold Member” means a KrisFlyer Member that has reached the Elite Gold tier of KrisFlyer.
    • “KrisFlyer Elite Silver Member” means a KrisFlyer Member that has reached the KrisFlyer Elite Silver tier of KrisFlyer.
    • “KrisFlyer Miles” means the mile(s) awarded to KrisFlyer Members pursuant to the KrisFlyer Program Rules.
    • “KrisFlyer Member” means any person who is recognized by SIA as a member of the KrisFlyer Program in accordance with the KrisFlyer Program Rules.
    • “KrisFlyer PPS Club Member” means a KrisFlyer Member that has reached the PPS Club tier of KrisFlyer.
    • “KrisFlyer Program Rules” means the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer Program, as they may be amended from time to time, which can be found here.
    • “KrisFlyer Solitaire PPS Club Member” means a KrisFlyer Member that has reached the Solitaire PPS Club tier of KrisFlyer.
    • “Marriott Bonvoy Account” means the membership account of an individual Marriott Bonvoy Member, which is maintained by Marriott Bonvoy, and which, among other things, tracks the earning and redemption of Marriott Bonvoy Points in accordance with the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules.
    • “Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Member” means a Marriott Bonvoy Member that has reached the Ambassador Elite membership status of Marriott Bonvoy.
    • “Marriott Bonvoy Gold Member” means a Marriott Bonvoy Member that has reached the Gold Elite membership status of Marriott Bonvoy.
    • “Marriott Bonvoy Member” means a member of Marriott Bonvoy in accordance with the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules.
    • “Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Member” means a Marriott Bonvoy Member that has reached the Platinum Elite membership status of Marriott Bonvoy.
    • “Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules” means the terms and conditions issued by Marriott International which govern participation in Marriott Bonvoy, as they may be amended from time to time. The Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules can be found here.
    • “Marriott Bonvoy Silver Member” means a Marriott Bonvoy Member that has reached the Silver Elite membership status of Marriott Bonvoy.
    • “Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Member” means a Marriott Bonvoy Member that has reached the Titanium Elite membership status of Marriott Bonvoy.
    • “Points” means the points that may be earned and redeemed by Marriott Bonvoy Members in accordance with the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules.
    • “Status” means the status of a member based on the four tier statuses of the KrisFlyer Membership Program pursuant to the KrisFlyer Program Rules.
Enrollment and Eligibility to Enroll and Participate in the Preferred Partnership Program
  1. To be eligible to enroll and participate in the Preferred Partnership Program, a person must be a Joint Member and have a valid Marriott Bonvoy account and KrisFlyer Account, each of which is in good standing. Joint Members must link their Marriott Bonvoy Account and KrisFlyer Account by enrolling in the Preferred Partnership Program to participate in, and receive the benefits of, the Preferred Partnership Program, including without limitation, the Preferred Partnership Program challenges.
  2. Eligibility is subject to further terms and conditions provided in Part B-E of these Preferred Partnership Rules.
  3. Joint Members enrolling in the Preferred Partnership Program must ensure that the account holder name in both their KrisFlyer Account and Marriott Bonvoy Account match so that any Preferred Partnership Program benefit may post to the relevant account.
  4. Marriott Bonvoy Members who hold Silver Elite or no Elite status in Marriott Bonvoy are not eligible to register for the complimentary KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status or any other Status in the KrisFlyer Program through the Preferred Partnership Program.
  5. Marriott Bonvoy Members who meet the eligibility criteria to receive complimentary KrisFlyer Status under the Preferred Partnership Program because of a trial Elite status in Marriott Bonvoy, including without limitation a "Taste of Elite" program, are not eligible for the complimentary KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status and/or KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status through the Preferred Partnership Program.
General conditions of the Preferred Partnership Program
  1. All offers and benefits of this Preferred Partnership Program are subject to these Preferred Partnership Rules and any regulations, policies, procedures, conditions of participation or special offers that SIA and/or Marriott International, including Marriott Bonvoy, may adopt from time to time in their discretion. The benefits awarded to, and received by, Joint Members after fulfilling the requirement of the relevant offer under this Preferred Partnership Program are subject to the KrisFlyer Program Rules and the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules.
  2. SIA has the right to terminate KrisFlyer and/or to change the KrisFlyer Program Rules, regulations, policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards, and special offers, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, even if such changes may affect the value of KrisFlyer Miles.
  3. Marriott International has the right to terminate the Marriott Bonvoy program and/or to change, limit, modify or cancel the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules, regulations, policies, procedures, conditions of participation, benefits, awards, and special offers, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, even though such changes may affect the value of Points.
  4. The benefits, awards, and offers provided under this Preferred Partnership Program are not transferable and may not be sold, bartered, assigned, used, or otherwise dealt with other than in accordance with these Preferred Partnership Rules, KrisFlyer Program Rules, and/or the Marriot Bonvoy Program Rules, as applicable.
  5. Completed registrations from Joint Members requesting complimentary status through the Preferred Partnership Program are subject to review and determination by KrisFlyer and/or Marriott Bonvoy as to whether the member meets the applicable eligibility criteria set forth in the Preferred Partnership Rules, and status from such registration requests are not guaranteed.
  6. Joint Members who register a request for a complimentary status should allow 7-10 business days for their accounts to reflect the new status, if granted.
  7. Complimentary Status and Marriott Bonvoy Elite status offered under the Preferred Partnership Program ("Status Offerings") will only be granted to members who meet the applicable eligibility criteria set forth in the Preferred Partnership Rules. Status Offerings are generally valid for a minimum of twelve (12) months in which the Status Offering is granted and expire in accordance with the KrisFlyer Program Rules (with respect to Status) and Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules (with respect to Marriott Bonvoy Elite status), as applicable. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer reserve the right to determine the validity period of a Status Offering, which may differ from the KrisFlyer member status and Elite membership programs offered by KrisFlyer and Marriott Bonvoy, respectively.
  8. If a Joint Member takes any action that is fraudulent (or that is suspected to be fraudulent by Marriott Bonvoy and/or SIA) or detrimental to Marriott Bonvoy and/or KrisFlyer, commits any misconduct in connection with Marriott Bonvoy and/or KrisFlyer, and/or fails to comply with the Preferred Partnership Rules, the KrisFlyer Program Rules, or the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules, such Joint Member may be subject to suspension or termination of participation in this Preferred Partnership Program, Marriott Bonvoy and/or KrisFlyer.
  9. All calculations and determinations made in connection with this Preferred Partnership Program will be made by SIA and Marriott International in their discretion and all such calculations and determinations will be considered final. KrisFlyer and Marriott Bonvoy reserve the right to request further supporting documentation from the Joint Member to validate the satisfaction of any requirements set out in these Preferred Partnership Rules. SIA and Marriott International reserve the right to revise or reverse their determinations.
  10. By participating in the Preferred Partnership Program, Joint Members consent to the collection, use, disclosure and other processing (“Processing”) of KrisFlyer and Marriott Bonvoy member data by Marriott International and SIA, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates and agents for the purpose of administering and facilitating the Preferred Partnership Program, and for the purposes set forth in Marriott’s privacy statement (located at https://www.marriott.com/about/privacy.mi) and SIA’s privacy policy (located at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/global_footer/privacy-policy/), respectively. All Processing of personal data by Marriott International and SIA, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates and agents, will be in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
  11. SIA and its subsidiaries, affiliates and agents are not responsible for any products or services of Marriott Bonvoy, its corporate parent Marriott International, Inc., or any of its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, or agents, or of any other participating companies or partners.
  12. Marriott International and its subsidiaries, affiliates and agents are not responsible for any products or services of SIA, its corporate parent Singapore Airlines Limited or any of its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, or agents, or of any other participating companies or partners.

Miscellaneous
  1. Any disputes arising out of or related to the Preferred Partnership Program or the Preferred Partnership Rules as between you and Marriott International will be handled individually without any class action, and will be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflicts of law rules. The exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or action arising out of or relating to Marriott Bonvoy or the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules may be filed only in the state or federal courts located in the State of Maryland, United States.
  2. The Preferred Partnership Rules as between you and SIA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any unresolved dispute arising under, out of, or in connection with the Preferred Partnership Rules, including any questions regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Singapore in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre for the time being in force.

Part B – KrisFlyer Elite Silver Accelerator Challenge provided to Marriott Bonvoy Gold Members.

  1. Subject to clause 2 to 5 of this Part B, Marriott Bonvoy Gold Members who are also KrisFlyer Members participating in the Preferred Partnership Program shall be eligible to receive KrisFlyer Elite Silver status after completing two (2) Singapore Airlines commercial flights in any booking class except booking class codes G ‘Group fares’ (each such flight, a “Qualifying Flight”) within six (6) months following the date of registration for the Preferred Partnership Program (“KrisFlyer Elite Silver Accelerator Challenge”) For purposes of these Preferred Partnership Rules, award tickets and codeshare flights are not considered to be Qualifying Flights.
  2. To register for the KrisFlyer Elite Silver Accelerator Challenge, a Marriott Bonvoy Member, must hold an active, validated Marriott Bonvoy account with Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status and an active, validated KrisFlyer Account.
    If so validated by Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer, respectively, such Marriott Bonvoy Gold Member will be eligible for KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status after completing the KrisFlyer Silver Accelerator Challenge.
  3. When KrisFlyer grants the KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status to a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Member under the KrisFlyer Elite Silver Accelerator Challenge, such member will have KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status for a minimum of 12 months, and such KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status shall expire in accordance with the KrisFlyer Program Rules. Thereafter, the Marriott Bonvoy Gold Member must qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status under the KrisFlyer Program Rules.
  4. If a Marriott Bonvoy Member has already achieved KrisFlyer Elite Silver status or above at the time they register for the Preferred Partnership Program, they will not be eligible to participate in the KrisFlyer Elite Silver Accelerator Challenge.
  5. If a Joint Member is currently registered for a KrisFlyer status match program that is not the Preferred Partnership Program and is in the process of fulfilling the flight criteria to obtain KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status or KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status, they will not be eligible to participate in the KrisFlyer Elite Silver Accelerator Challenge under the Preferred Partnership Program.

Part C - Complimentary KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status match and KrisFlyer Elite Gold Accelerator Challenge provided to Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Members, Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Members, and Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Members.

  1. Subject to clauses 2, 3, and 7 to 9 of this Part C, Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Members, Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Members, and Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Members who participate in the Preferred Partnership Program will be eligible for a complimentary status match to KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status.
  2. To register for complimentary KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status in the KrisFlyer Program, a Marriott Bonvoy Member must hold an active, validated Marriott Bonvoy account with Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, or Ambassador Elite membership status and an active, validated KrisFlyer Account. If so validated by Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer, respectively, the Marriott Bonvoy Member will be upgraded to KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status in KrisFlyer through the Preferred Partnership Program.
  3. When KrisFlyer grants the KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status to a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite and above member under the Preferred Partnership Program, such member will have KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status for a minimum of twelve (12) months, and such KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status shall expire in accordance with the KrisFlyer Program Rules. Thereafter, the member must qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status under the KrisFlyer Program Rules.
  4. Subject to clauses 5, 6, 8 and 9 of this Part C, upon such upgrade to KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status (or for KrisFlyer Members with existing KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status and Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, or Ambassador Elite membership status), such Joint Member will be eligible to be further upgraded to KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status by completing four (4) Qualifying Flights within six (6) months following the date of registration in the Preferred Partnership Program (“KrisFlyer Elite Gold Accelerator Challenge”).
  5. To participate in, and complete, the KrisFlyer Elite Gold Accelerator Challenge, a Marriott Bonvoy Member must hold an active, validated Marriott Bonvoy account with Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, or Ambassador Elite membership status and an active, validated KrisFlyer Account with KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status obtained through the Preferred Partnership Program. If so validated by Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer, respectively, the Marriott Bonvoy Member will be able to participate in the KrisFlyer Elite Gold Accelerator Challenge through the Preferred Partnership Program.
  6. When KrisFlyer grants the KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status to a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite and above member under the KrisFlyer Elite Gold Accelerator Challenge, such member will have KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status for a minimum of twelve (12) months, and such KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status shall expire in accordance with the KrisFlyer Program Rules. Thereafter, the member must qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status under the KrisFlyer Program Rules.
  7. If a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite and above member has already achieved KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status at the time they registered for the Preferred Partnership Program, they can enjoy a 12-month extension for their KrisFlyer Elite Silver status from the date of registration in the Preferred Partnership Program.
  8. If a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite and above member has already achieved Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club or KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status at the time they registered for the Preferred Partnership Program, they will not be eligible to receive complimentary status match to KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status and to participate in the KrisFlyer Elite Gold Accelerator Challenge.
  9. If a Joint Member is currently registered for a KrisFlyer status match program that is not the Preferred Partnership Program and is in the process of fulfilling the flight criteria to obtain KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status or KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status, they will not be able to receive complimentary status match to KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status and participate in the KrisFlyer Elite Gold Accelerator Challenge under the Preferred Partnership Program.

Part D – Marriott Bonvoy Silver Accelerator Challenge provided to KrisFlyer Elite Silver Members

  1. Subject to clauses 2 to 4 of this Part D, KrisFlyer Elite Silver Members who participate in the Preferred Partnership Program will be eligible to receive Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite membership status if the member stays three (3) Qualifying Nights at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy (“Participating Properties”) within six (6) months following the date of registration in the Preferred Partnership Program (“Marriott Bonvoy Silver Accelerator Challenge”). For purposes of these Preferred Partnership Rules, a “Qualifying Night” shall mean a “Stay” as defined in the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules.
  2. When Marriott Bonvoy grants the Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite membership status to a KrisFlyer Elite Silver Member under the Marriott Bonvoy Silver Accelerator Challenge, such member will have Silver Elite membership status for a minimum of twelve (12) months, and such Silver Elite membership status shall expire in accordance with the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules. Thereafter, the member must qualify for Silver Elite membership status under the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules.
  3. To register for the Marriott Bonvoy Silver Accelerator Challenge, a KrisFlyer Member must hold an active, validated Marriott Bonvoy account with no Marriott Bonvoy Elite membership status and an active, validated KrisFlyer Account with KrisFlyer Elite Silver Status. If so, validated by Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer, respectively, the KrisFlyer Member will be upgraded to Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite membership status following completion of the Marriott Bonvoy Silver Accelerator Challenge.
  4. If a KrisFlyer Elite Silver Member has already achieved Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite membership status or above at the time they registered for the Preferred Partnership Program, they will not be eligible to participate in the Marriott Bonvoy Silver Accelerator Challenge.

Part E - Complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status match and Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Accelerator Challenge provided to Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold Members

  1. Subject to clauses 2, 3, and 6 to 8 of this Part E, Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold Members who participate in the Preferred Partnership Program shall be eligible to receive complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status.
  2. To register a request for complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status, a KrisFlyer Member must hold an active, validated account with Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club or KrisFlyer Elite Gold status in the KrisFlyer Program and an active, validated Marriott Bonvoy account. If so, validated by Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer, respectively, the KrisFlyer Member will be able to register to request complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status through the Preferred Partnership Program.
  3. When Marriott Bonvoy grants the Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status to a Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club or a KrisFlyer Elite Gold member under the Preferred Partnership Program, such member will have Gold Elite membership status for a minimum of twelve (12) months, and such Gold Elite membership status shall expire in accordance with the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules. Thereafter, the member must qualify for Gold Elite membership status under the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules.
  4. Subject to clauses 5 to 8 of this Part E, after receiving Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status (or for Marriott Bonvoy Members with existing Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status and who are Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club, or KrisFlyer Elite Gold Members), such Joint Member will be eligible to be further upgraded to Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite membership status by staying ten (10) Qualifying Nights at Participating Properties within six (6) months following the date of registration in the Preferred Partnership Program (“Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Accelerator Challenge”).
  5. To participate in, and complete, the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Accelerator Challenge, a KrisFlyer Member must hold an active, validated account with Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club or KrisFlyer Elite Gold status in the KrisFlyer Program and an active, validated Marriott Bonvoy Account with Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status obtained through the Preferred Partnership Program. If so, validated by Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer, respectively, the KrisFlyer Member will be able to complete the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Accelerator Challenge through the Preferred Partnership Program.
  6. When Marriott Bonvoy grants the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite membership status to a Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club or KrisFlyer Elite Gold member under the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Accelerator Challenge, such member will have Platinum Elite membership status for a minimum of twelve (12) months, and such Platinum Elite membership status shall expire in accordance with the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules. Thereafter, the member must qualify for Platinum Elite membership status under the Marriott Bonvoy Program Rules.
  7. If a KrisFlyer Member with Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club or KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status has already achieved Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status at the time they registered for the Preferred Partnership Program, they can enjoy a 12-month extension for their Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status from the date of registration in the Preferred Partnership Program.
  8. If a KrisFlyer Member with Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club or KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status has already achieved Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite membership status or above at the time they registered for the Preferred Partnership Program, they will not be eligible to receive complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite membership status or participate in the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Accelerator Challenge.
