1. Quick Take

Bangkok is one of the most popular destination for travelling around the globe. Sukhumvit area is one of the best choices for both tourists and business traveler. Here is the reasons:

a) Convenient Transportation - There are 2 public transport pass through this area which are MRT and BTS. Asoke is the crossing area for both BTS and MRT which is the location of Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok

b) A ton of food choices (from local food to fine dining) - There are plenty of restaurants along the sukhumvit road, from a local street food starting from just 40 baht to fine dining 1,000 per person.

c) Surrounding with major department stores - From asoke, there are many department stores surrouding which you can go for local brand shopping in Terminal 21, or global brand names shopping in Emquartier, Central Embassy, Central Chidlom and Central World.

d) Within walk distance to Benjakitti park and Benjasiri park - Benjakitti Park is the second largest public park within this area (the largest public park is Lumpini Park). Benjakitti Park is a good place for morning/evening jogging and cycling. If you like a lively park, Benjasiri is another good choice.


2. Location


Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok is located in Sukhumvit area. Its location is superb convenient as there is a skywalk connecting between BTS and hotel. BTS Asoke station is also the crossing station between BTS and MRT. 

3. Room


Beginning room of Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Hotel Collection, Bangkok is "Grande Room" with 45 sqm. Room decoration is old-fashion luxury. 


During COVID situation, there is provided face mask and alcohol gel in room. A 6" king bed along with 4 large pillows is very comfortable.


There is a multi-connection connector beside the working table. You can easily cast your laptop screen to TV with HDMI port here. Working share is height adjustable. Small armchair and lantern at the corner of room.


Overall is on standard. Nothing exciting.


Many choices soft drink and alcohol are prepared in fridge. Free drink in room is tea bag (brand is standard Dilmah), instant coffee from Bon Cafe and 4 bottles of water.


Toiletries brand is Thann. It is quite small and may not enough for 2 persons. BTW, you can request for more toiletries from house keeping team.


In the bathroom, there is a standard size bath tube (fir for 1 person) separate from shower area. There is no rain shower for this room type.


Bathrobe and slippers are provided here along with the good size of safe box. 


Outside the window is lake view from Benjakitti park. There is no tall building block view from this side. I would recommend to request a room with this view.

4. Marriott Bonvoy Benefit

At the front desk, you are well recognized your elite status here. Platinum member and above (Titanium and Ambassador) will enjoy following perks:

a) Welcome gift


For welcome gift, you can choose from local gift or 1,000 point. Local gift is a gray handbag with logo of The Luxury Collection.

b) Full breakfast
As a Platinum member and above, full breakfast is included. 

c) Evening complimentary

You can enjoy 2 hours of unlimited drinks and snacks in The Living Room during 17:00 - 19:00. 


You can order food from Rossini and Orchid cafe to match with your drink. I have tried Pla Thod Plick (Deep fried whole seabass with chili sauce) and Spaghetti King Prawn. Fish and prawn are fresh and well cooked. Overall is delicious.

d) Laundry
There is 2-pieces complementary laundry for Platinum member and above. Laundry service doesn't include express service and dry-clean.

5. Facilities


Swimming pool, fitness and grande spa is located on 3rd floor. Swimming pool is surrounded by a lush of tropical garden. Pool area is good take relaxing, not fit for exercise.


There is "Sala", a Thai style open-air area that you can laid back and enjoy your drink here. 


A warm jacuzzi is hidden at the deepest area of swimming pool.


What a unique swimming pool style here. Kid would enjoy this so much.

For fitness, there is nothing interesting to mention. There are plenty types of exercise equipment, running, cycling, weight-lifting and etc. BTW, fitness area is quite small with low-height ceiling. I totally not enjoy here.

6. Bottom Line

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok is an old-fashion decorated style. Starting room is large and comfortable. 
Location is superb, possibly be one of the best in hotel in Sukhumvit in term of location. Good location for shopping, food, and travelling in downtown. 
Member recognized is great, included full breakfast, evening complimentary and 2-pieces laundry. 
Swimming pool is good for relaxing, not for hard exercise. Fitness is needed an improvement.
Service is on par and could be better comparing to other 5-stars Marriott hotel in Bangkok.
