Term and Condition
These “General Promotion Terms” shall govern all Offers under this Promotion.
You must be an IHG® One Rewards member and must register in order to participate in the “Earn up to 4X” promotion (“Promotion”). Members can pre-register for this Promotion starting May 4, 2022 through May 17, 2022. Members will be able to stay and earn IHG® One Rewards bonus points under this Promotion beginning May 18, 2022 and ending on August 31, 2022 (“Promotion Period”). Members who did not register during the period for pre-registration may register for the Promotion during the Promotion Period. By clicking the “click to register” button for the Promotion, a member is registering for the Earn up to 4X Promotion and accepting these Terms & Conditions.
After registering for the Promotion, a member can earn IHG® Rewards bonus points based on the number of qualifying nights they have during the Promotion Period, as follows: “2X points” on their 2nd through 5th qualifying nights; “3X points” on their 6th through 14th qualifying nights; and “4X points” on their 15th qualifying night and all subsequent qualifying nights. The bonus points earning structure for “2X points”, “3X points”, and “4X points” is described in more detail below and is subject to a total promotional bonus points cap of 100,000 points. For IHG® Rewards members residing in the U.S. who have an IHG® Rewards Credit Card from Chase, this Promotion also includes an opportunity to earn up to 6,000 additional bonus points if certain requirements are met for stays during the Promotion Period. This offer for cardmembers is also described in more detail below. The time needed for awarding points can vary with each promotion, so please allow up to 6 weeks for any earned bonus points to be posted to your account.
For purposes of this Promotion, the qualifying nights must be part of one or more Qualifying Stays at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts, Mr and Mrs Smith properties, or participating Six Senses® Hotels, Resorts, & Spas (as identified on each hotel’s booking page), and each qualifying night must be completed during the Promotion Period, which is from May 18, 2022 through August 31, 2022. No retroactive credit will be given for nights prior to registration for the Promotion, and any nights outside of the Promotion Period will not be eligible for bonus points under the Promotion. A Qualifying Stay is a minimum 1-night stay booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding US $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night. Only one room per member per Qualifying Stay will be eligible for the applicable bonus points under the Promotion. If more than one member checks into the same room, only one member is eligible for the bonus points available under the Promotion. If a member books more than one room on the same night, they will only receive bonus points for the Promotion on the room with the higher room rate for each qualifying night. For this Promotion, earning “2X” or “2X points” or “Double Points” on a member’s 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th qualifying night stay during the Promotion Period means the total number of regular “base points” and promotional “bonus points” combined will equal two (2) times the base points the member would normally receive just for being an IHG® One Rewards member. For example, under this Promotion, for a member’s second qualifying night during the Promotion Period with a room rate of $100.00 at an IHG hotel with a 10 points per USD earn rate for base points, the member would earn 1,000 base points (10 points x $100 = 1,000 points) and an additional 1,000 promotional bonus points, for a total of 2,000 points.
Similarly, earning “3X” or “3X points” or “Triple Points” on a member’s 6th through 14th qualifying room night during the Promotion Period means the total number of regular “base points” and promotional “bonus points” combined will equal three (3) times the base points the member would normally receive just for being an IHG® Rewards member. For example, a qualifying night after a member has already stayed five (5) previous qualifying nights within the Promotion Period would be considered the 6th qualifying night. If that 6th qualifying night has a room rate of $100.00 at an IHG hotel with a 10 points per USD earn rate for base points, the member would earn 1,000 base points (10 points x $100 = 1,000 points) and an additional 2,000 promotional bonus points, for a total of 3,000 points for the 6th qualifying night, which would be in addition to the base points and bonus points the member had previously earned under the Promotion for their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th qualifying nights.
Earning “4X” or “4X points” or “Quadruple Points” on a member’s 15th qualifying room night, and all subsequent qualifying room night stays, during the Promotion Period has similar meaning: The total number of regular “base points” and promotional “bonus points” combined will equal four (4) times the number of base points the member would normally receive just for being an IHG® Rewards member. By way of example, for a member’s 2-night Qualifying Stay for their 15th and 16th qualifying nights within the Promotion Period, with a per night room rate of $100.00 at an IHG hotel with a 10 points per USD earn rate for base points, the member would earn 2,000 base points (10 points x $100/night x 2 nights = 2,000 points) and an additional 6,000 promotional bonus points, for a total of 8,000 points. These 8,000 points is for the 15th and 16th qualifying nights and are in addition to the base points and bonus points the member had already earned during the Promotion Period for qualifying nights 2 through 14.
The promotional bonus points that can be earned under the 2X, 3X, and 4X promotion part of the Promotion, as described above, are calculated based solely on the base points the member is eligible to earn for the qualifying night just for being an IHG® One Rewards member, and any Elite status bonus points or any other bonus or promotional points the member may be eligible to receive for the same stay are not included.
For cardmembers in the United States with an IHG® Credit Card from Chase, an additional 3,000 bonus points will be awarded after the cardmember’s first three (3) qualifying nights and another 3,000 bonus points after the cardmember’s second three (3) qualifying nights. Each qualifying night must be part of a Qualifying Stay at participating IHG® Hotels and Resorts during the Promotion Period, booked under a Qualifying Rate with total spend exceeding US $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night and paid for by the member using their IHG® credit card. No additional bonus points for IHG® credit card use will be awarded past the sixth qualifying night. For new Chase IHG® Credit Card accounts opened during the Promotion Period, please allow up to 6 weeks after the Promotion Period for bonus points to be credited. The “up to 6,000 bonus points” cardmembers can earn from this offer are separate from points earned from credit card spend on IHG transactions. IHG reserves the right of final interpretation of this offer to cardmembers. This offer is not from Chase. Chase is not responsible for the provision of, or failure to provide, the stated benefits and services. Bonus points will post directly to your IHG® Rewards account and will not appear on your credit card statement. The “up to 6,000 bonus points” cardmembers can earn from this offer is in addition to the bonus points a cardmember can earn under the 2X-3X-4X part of the Promotion. As a result, cardmembers qualifying for this offer have an opportunity to earn a maximum of 106,000 promotional bonus points over the entire Promotion Period.
The points earned during the Earn up to 4X Promotion can be used toward Reward Nights, can be redeemed for merchandise, or can be used for other redemption opportunities, as permitted under the IHG® One Rewards program. The Promotion is subject to the IHG® Rewards program terms and conditions and earning structure, which can be found at IHG® One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions or by visiting www.ihgonerewards.com. Members can only participate in one promotion at a time, unless otherwise specifically allowed by IHG. IHG expressly reserves the right to remove a member’s points or cancel a member’s account if fraudulent use of the Promotion is detected, and any fraudulent activity relating to a member’s account, or this Promotion is subject to the IHG® One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, including any of the identified actions that may be taken in response to such activity. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IHG reserves the right of final interpretation of the Promotion, as well as the right to cancel, terminate, suspend and/or modify the Promotion at any time. This promotion is available to all IHG® One Rewards members.
When does the Earn up to 4X Promotion begin and end?
The Pre-Registration Period for IHG® One Rewards members begins on May 4, 2022 and ends on May 17, 2022. Members can pre-register for this promotion during this Pre-Registration Period.
Members can earn points on qualifying nights at IHG® Hotels & Resorts globally during the Promotion Period, which is from May 18, 2022 through August 31, 2022. The Promotion Period is when members can stay and earn promotional bonus points under this Promotion. Members who did not pre-register can also register during the Promotion Period. Stays prior to registration for the Earn up to 4X Promotion will not be eligible for bonus points under the Promotion
If I registered for the 2X Unlimited promotion, which ran from January 19 – March 31, 2022, do I still need to register for the Earn up to 4X Promotion?
Yes, these are separate promotions and require separate registration for members to be eligible to earn bonus points.
How can members earn bonus points with this Promotion?
After registering for the Promotion, a member can earn IHG® One Rewards bonus points based on the number of qualifying nights they have during the Promotion Period:
“2X points” on their 2nd through 5th qualifying nights.
“3X points” on their 6th through 14th qualifying nights; and

What is considered a Qualifying Rate?
Qualifying Rates include most business and leisure rates, such as Advanced Purchase rates, Best Flexible rates, Global sales negotiated rates (including but not limited to Corporate Gold rates), national/regional/local government rates, and specified leisure rates as confirmed by IHG’s reservation systems. In Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Greater China hotels and resorts, Qualifying Rates include all locally negotiated rates. How many points can I expect to earn when participating in the Earn up to 4X Promotion?

How are bonus points calculated under the Earn up to 4X Promotion for Elite members?
The promotional bonus points that can be earned under the 2X / 3X / 4X part of the Promotion are described more fully in the FAQ above and are calculated based solely on the base points the member is eligible to earn for the qualifying night just for being an IHG® One Rewards member, and any Elite status bonus points or any other bonus or promotional points the member may be eligible to receive for the same stay are not included in that calculation. Example One - A Spire Elite member completes their second and third qualifying nights at an IHG® Hotels & Resorts property. The member spends $100 on each night. The member will earn a total of 6,000 IHG® One Rewards Points, as follows.
Base Points Earned (Points you receive during your stay for being an IHG® One Rewards member): 10 Points per USD X $100 X 2 Nights = 2,000 Base Points.
Elite Bonus Points Earned (Bonus points you receive during your stay for being a Spire Elite Status Member): 10 Bonus Points per USD X $100 X 2 Nights = 2,000 Elite Bonus Points.
Promotional Bonus Points Earned (Bonus Points you receive during your stay for participating in this Promotion): The 2nd and 3rd qualifying nights result in “2X points” under the Promotion which means the total number of regular “base points” and “promotional bonus points” combined will equal two (2) times the base points. As noted above, Base Points Earned = 2,000 Base Points. Accordingly, for the Promotion, the combined total of Base Points and Promotional Bonus Points will be 4,000 points (i.e., 2,000 Base Points + 2,000 Promotional Bonus Points = 4,000 total combined points). Is there a maximum number of bonus points a member can earn during the Promotion Period?
100,000 bonus points is the maximum number that can be earned under the 2X / 3X / 4X part of the Promotion.
A member who is eligible for the IHG® One Rewards Chase Credit Cardmember Offer part of the Promotion is also eligible to earn up to 6,000 additional bonus points. As a result, these Cardmembers have an opportunity to earn a maximum of 106,000 total bonus points over the Promotion Period. IHG® Rewards Chase Cardmember Offer (US Residents Only)
How does the IHG® Rewards Chase Credit Card Offer component of the Promotion work?
When an IHG® One Rewards member pays for an eligible night at a participating IHG hotel or resort using their IHG® Rewards Chase Credit Card, the member can earn up to 6,000 additional bonus points — 3,000 bonus points after their 1st three (3) qualifying nights, and 3,000 more bonus points on their 2nd three (3) qualifying nights.
To be eligible for this Offer, the member must register for the Earn up to 4X Promotion, and all qualifying nights must be part of a Qualifying Stay and must be within the Promotion Period, which is from May 18, 2022 through August 31, 2022.
This Offer to cardmembers has a cap of 6,000 bonus points.

Bonus points will be awarded within 6 weeks after the check-out date for the last qualifying night making the cardmember eligible for an award of bonus points under this Offer. Awarded bonus points will appear on the member’s IHG® Rewards statement and not on their credit card statement.
If I am eligible for bonus points through this Offer, will it reduce the points I would normally receive for using my IHG® Credit Card?
No. The 3,000 bonus points earned by cardmembers after completing their qualifying nights during the Promotion Period are separate from any points earned for card-related spend and are separate from any bonus points or other benefits received for becoming an IHG® Credit Cardmember.

Can I get my IHG® Credit Card during the Earn up to 4X Promotion?
Yes, you can apply for a new IHG® Credit Card at any time during the Pre-Registration Period (from May 4, 2022 – May 17, 2022) or the Promotion Period (from May 18, 2022 – August 31, 2022).
If I don’t have an IHG® Credit Card but get one during the Earn up to 4X Promotion, can I still get up to the 6,000 additional bonus points with my new credit card?
Yes! Once you open an IHG® Credit Card account, you can participate in this Offer and earn up to 6,000 bonus points in total with six (6) qualifying nights when using your new IHG® Credit Card to pay for the stay. Members can earn 3,000 bonus points after their 1st three (3) qualifying nights, and 3,000 more bonus points after their 2nd three (3) qualifying nights, as long as the member pays for their stay using their new IHG® Credit Card and each of the qualifying nights is during the Promotion Period, from May 18, 2022 through August 31, 2022.
When will I receive the bonus points under the Cardmember Offer if I get an IHG® Credit Card during the Promotion?
For all IHG® Credit Cardmembers who earn bonus points under this Offer, the points are awarded within six (6) weeks of the check-out date for the last qualifying night making the cardmember eligible for an award of bonus points under this Offer. Awarded bonus points appear on the members’ IHG® One Rewards account statement and not on their credit card statement.
