ซื้อคะแนน ต่ออายุ Diamond Elite

IHG ซื้อคะแนน ต่อสถานะ Diamond คุ้มหรือเปล่า (16 พฤศจิกายน - 31 ธันวาคม 2566)

IHG ออกโปรโมชั่นสำหรับสมาชิกบางกลุ่ม (Targeted Promotion) โดยให้สิทธิ์ในการซื้อคะแนน (Elite Qualifying Point หรือ EQP) เพื่อคงสถานะ IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite

โดยปรกติแล้ว IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite จะต้องเข้าพักอย่างน้อย 70 คืน หรือได้รับคะแนน (EQP) อย่างน้อย 120,000 คะแนน / ปีปฏิทิน โดยคะแนน (EQP) จะได้จากยอดใช้จ่ายที่โรงแรม + คะแนนที่ซื้อเพิ่มตอนจอง Flexible Rate

ต้นทุนซื้อคะแนน Elite Qualifying Points

สิ่งที่แปลกรอบนี้คือ ราคาที่สมาชิก IHG One Rewards แต่ละคนได้รับจะไม่เท่ากัน อย่างของ ChaiMiles จะได้ที่ราคา 1,200 USD ต่อ 120,000 คะแนน

IHG Diamond Elite ได้อะไรเพิ่มจาก Platinum Elite

เพื่อให้ง่ายต่อความเข้าใจ ChaiMiles คำนวณความคุ้มค่าในการลงทุนซื้อคะแนน จาก Platinum Elite ไป Diamond Elite โดยอ้างอิงต้นทุนคะแนนตามที่ ChaiMiles ได้รับ

ข้อดีของ Diamond Elite คือจะได้รับสิทธิ์ฟรีอาหารเช้าจาก Welcome Amenity ทุกโรงแรมในเครือ IHG (ต่างจาก Annual Lounge Benefit ที่จะได้อาหารเช้า เฉพาะโรงแรมที่มี Lounge เสิร์ฟอาหารเช้าเท่านั้น)

เมื่อรวมมูลค่าจากโบนัสคะแนน Upgrade ห้องพัก และอาหารเช้า จะได้มูลค่า Diamond Elite ต่อคืน จะอยู่ที่ประมาณ 1,820 บาท 

ด้วยราคาซื้อคะแนนที่ ChaiMiles ได้รับ จุดคุ้มค่าจะอยู่ที่การซื้อตั้งแต่ 70,000 คะแนน เป็นต้นไป โดยจะมีราคาอยู่ที่ 700$ หรือต้นทุนต่อ 1 คะแนน = 0.36 บาท

โดยปรกติแล้ว IHG One Rewards จะขายคะแนนพร้อมโบนัส 100% ซึ่งต้นทุนจะอยู่ที่ 0.18 บาท ต่อคะแนน การซื้อคะแนน (EQP) ทำสถานะ จะแพงกว่าซื้อคะแนนปรกติ 0.18 บาท ต่อ คะแนน

ดังนั้น การซื้อที่ 70,000 คะแนน จะมีต้นทุนค่าซื้อสถานะอยู่ที่ 70,000 x 0.18 = 12,600 บาท

การซื้อคะแนนเพื่อทำสถานะ จะคุ้มค่าก็ต่อเมื่อได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์มากกว่าต้นทุนที่จ่ายออกไป ซึ่งถ้าเทียบตามตารางคนดวงดี ได้รับ Upgrade ห้องทุกวัน ก็จะต้องเข้าพักอย่างน้อย 7 คืน ถึงจะเริ่มคุ้ม

สรุปรายละเอียด

สิทธิประโยชน์เด่นๆที่เพิ่มขึ้นมาจากสถานะ Diamond Elite หลักๆก็คือเรื่องของอาหารเช้า ดังนั้น คนที่ถือสถานะ Platinum เดิม อาจจะต้องลองเทียบต้นทุนคะแนนที่ได้รับ Offer ว่าคุ้มกับค่าอาหารเช้าที่จะได้รับหรือเปล่า

สำหรับคนที่เก็บครบ 40 คืน และได้รับ Annual Lounge Benefit จาก Milestone Rewards ซึ่งจะได้อาหารเช้าใน Lounge อยู่แล้ว การซื้อคะแนนเพิ่มเพื่อทำสถานะ Diamond Elite ก็จะยิ่งคุ้มค่าน้อยลงไปอีก

Terms and Conditions

*This Offer is available to IHG One Rewards members for qualifying purchases of IHG One Rewards Elite Qualifying Points made during the period from 12:00 AM ET November 16, 2023 and 11:59 PM ET December 31, 2023 inclusive. A member may only purchase Elite Qualifying Points once under this promotion. Purchased Elite Qualifying Points will count toward a Member’s Year-To-Date status qualifying points balance (for example, towards Diamond Elite tier status for 2024).The Member must purchase enough to either meet or exceed the Diamond Elite Qualifying Points threshold to maintain Diamond Elite status through all of the 2024 calendar year. This offer does not apply to the yearly points purchase cap that is set at 150,000 points during a calendar year. Elite Qualifying Points will be awarded upon completion of the transaction, and new Elite status will be reflected within 5-10 business days. Renewed Diamond Elite status gained from the purchase of Elite Qualifying Points will be valid for the remainder of 2023 and all of the 2024 calendar year. Elite Qualifying Points and resulting status will be awarded to the recipient of the Elite Qualifying Points purchase only. Price includes all applicable fees. Elite Qualifying Points are non-refundable and are applicable toward all IHG One Rewards awards. Elite Qualifying Nights are not part of this offer and cannot be purchased. If fraudulent activity is suspected, IHG reserves the right to withhold Diamond Elite status level pending further investigation. Final determination of a member’s eligibility to receive the status level is at the sole discretion of IHG based on the findings of the investigation. Please allow up to 72 hours for Elite Qualifying Points to post and appear in the recipient's account. All other IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions apply.

Elite Qualifying Points balance correct as of 11/9/2023. For purposes of the Offer, the Member will only be offered the required amount of Elite Qualifying Points that are required to maintain Diamond Elite status. The Offer may not be contested by a member.
